I went in last week to get an exam and new prescription for my reading glasses. My prescription for my regular distance and reading glasses were fine but the frame of the pair I bought last year broke, second time in a year. The person doing the initial exam asked me if I wanted my eyes dilated to which I said not at this time. She said she would need to check with the doctor. When she came back she said the doctor wanted it done. I told her I was uncomfortable with doing it at this time. After a little more discussion she ended the exam. I never saw a doctor, didn't get a new prescription or new glasses. I was only there because when my reading glasses frame broke. They told me my prescription from the year before had expired and they couldn't make new glasses without a new prescription.
This place is awful, completely disorganized and the main reason is the general manager, she will yell at employees and just let the place run wild. The poor receptionists just sit there and try to smile but one of them (younger one) definitely doesn’t know what she’s doing. I ordered glasses and they ordered the wrong ones apparently tags on glasses were mixed up but I would highly suggest avoiding this place altogether to save you from a headache.
Very unsatisfied with this company. 1 visit they prescribed my lenses to strong which I could not wear but they would replace my lenses at my cost then (Lakeland store) 2nd visit I decided to try a different location and went to the plant city location back in August and got my exam and ordered contacts after a couple weeks I called and was told they were on back order, fast forward to November still no contacts called they reordered said they would be delivered 5-7 days well December and still no contacts, called beginning of the week and someone was to call me back and no return call, been on hold now 20min while they look into my chart.. lol pretty sure I won’t hear back from these folks.
I've never even been to this place but I had called to find out about pricing since it is not listed on their website. When I called, I was met with a rude receptionist and an immediate hang up after asking my question. I was slightly confused since my question was nothing out of the ordinary and made sure I was polite in asking it. I probably will take my business elsewhere since I do not feel comfortable going to a place that may possibly have more rude employees.
I went there back in 2018 Loved it, rescheduled a exam to be done on the 22 of May. I put it in about a week and a half prior, mind you the website allowed me to place it. They canceled on my literally the night before cause they aren't open. Why not tell me when i put the request in? Or ahead of time, not before the day of. Than they inform me that they arent taking any appointments nearby even though my co worker went to them last week. ADIOS
